Loven 890 Summer Stout

ABV 6.5% IBU 65

Loven 890 is a classic stout with coffee, chocolate, dried fruit notes. Belgian yeast provides a touch of summery lightness. Loven (Leuven) in 890AD was a Viking village on the River Dijle, in what would later become Belgium. One year later, in 891AD, the Viking army was defeated by Frankish King Arnulf of Carinthia in the Battle of Leuven. But in the summer of 890 Leuven was a lovely place to drink like a Viking!
