Mad Swede Brew Hall is excited to present the Jazz + Comedy Hour Showcase! A two-in-one show with an hour of beautiful jazz music from Alex Sjobeck and an hour of hilarious standup comedy by Blue City Comedy!

Volaris! is a 4 piece Latin jazz band featuring the styles of Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music and their fusion with jazz. The band features musicians from around the mountain west including Ben Britton (tenor saxophone/flute), Alex Sjobeck (piano), Abraham Masso III (bass) and Derek Munson (drum set). Come join us for a high energy, upbeat, danceable set of Latin jazz music!

About Alex Sjobeck (band leader): Active as a performer, touring artist, recording artist, composer, and educator, Alex Sjobeck has released four albums as leader and co-leader; composed music for film; toured with a variety of ensembles including the NEXTET, SBST, the Sjobeck/Baker Duo, and the Alex Sjobeck Trio; conducted her own music for big band; and has presented workshops and masterclasses throughout the United States.
