Of all the summer things to do in Boise, Mad Swede‘s annual Midsommar is the absolute HOTTEST, and Midsommar 2024 is going to be EPIC. In the many years that we’ve been hosting Boise’s only Scandinavian Midsommar party in honor of the Summer Solstice, this is the first time ever that it’s landing on the ACTUAL SUMMER SOLSTICE. What’s that mean? That means Midsommar is falling on the longest day of the year. Therefore… MORE PARTY, baby!! We’re pulling out all the stops this year with…

Axe throwing with Ragers Smash – N – Axe
The red hot Andrew Sheppard Band, never before seen at Mad Swede!!
Bonfire + Sparklers to keep the party going after the sun sets
The glorious return of the Swedish Car Show
Flower Crowns and pagan Maypole Dancing

Did you catch all that? No worries, Boise! We know there’s a lot of fun things to do. That’s because Scandinavian people traditionally celebrate the longest day of the year by partying for as long as possible!

Midsommar Schedule:

  • Starting at 3:00pm we’ve got Lawn Games, the Swedish Car Show, Maypole Dancing, Flower Crowns, and Swedish Strawberry Cake. Mythic Mead will also be hosting mead-tasting and selling their handmade goods alongside Noble Pursuit Ironworks.
  • Starting at 4:00pm we’ve got Swedish Meatballs and American BBQ by Rockin’ Q BBQ.
  • From 4:00pm-6:00pm we’ve got Axe Throwing with Ragers.
  • From 7:00pm-9:00pm the Andrew Sheppard Band (one of Boise’s most in-demand acts) will play incredible live music.
  • From 9:00pm-11:00pm we’ll light the bonfire and play with sparklers and such.
